RUSSIAN FSB DEMONSTRATES LATEST DOCUMENT PROTECTION SYSTEM
MOSCOW, March 18 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has shown to journalists in Moscow the newest document protection systems.
The results of the FSB research into information and registration systems for government control over circulation of documents and production in economically vital fields and fiscal data of cash equipment were presented in the Atlas scientific and technical center showroom (FSB).
The FSB's Public Relations Center told RIA Novosti that the FSB, using a system approach, is implementing a complex program for creating modern, highly reliable systems of control and registration in order to ensure economic security of the state and combat crime.
"Advanced microelectronics and cryptography technologies, unique luminescent covering and holography are used to ensure safety and security. They help preclude the possibility of forging documents or making changes in them," a representative of the center said.
He said, in part, that "the systems presented here can and will be used to produce new-generation passports, visas and other documents with biometric parameters, to monitor information integrity of cash payments and fiscal data and the registration and control of alcohol products and medicines."
