Airborne Observation System (AOS) A Stand-Alone Imagery Intelligence System
Jun 18, 2001
Paris Air Show, June 2001 - Israel Aircraft Industries/TAMAM Division completed integration development and delivery of complete imagery intelligence gathering systems based on its state-of-the-art Helicopter Multi-mission Optronic Payload (HMOSP).
The system is the perfect low budget, turnkey solution for day/night reconnaissance, surveillance, border and coastal patrol, fire adjustment and other uses.
The newly developed system integrates an observation system, Operator and Commander console for mission planning and control and a downlink of images and data. All components of the Airborne Observation System (AOS) are off-the-shelf items, while the integration of the features of each individual component has provided new dimensions and capabilities to the whole system.
The airborne equipment is mounted on high flying fixed wing aircraft or helicopters. The long reach of the HMOSP combined with its ability to withstand high air velocities, prove it's an ideal sensor for intelligence gathering purposes.
AOS comprises a stand-alone solution and can also be integrated with other sensors.
