Jun 18, 2001
Paris Air Show, June 2001 - The AEROSKY lightweight close range tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system is on display at the Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) exhibition at the Paris Air Show.
The decision to display the AEROSKY UAV at the IAI exhibit follows the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement between IAI and Aeronautics, the manufacturer of AEROSKY. The agreement calls for cooperation between the two companies to develop, manufacture and market tactical UAV's. IAI has also been given an option to acquire 25 percent of Aeronautics Unmanned Systems.
IAI is one of the world's leading UAV developers including tactical UAVs such as the Ranger, Hunter and Searcher II; also medium altitude and long endurance UAVs such as the Eagle UAV system.
Aeronautics have developed several lightweight UAV's including the Aerolight, Aerosky and Aerostar and an Unmanned Multiple Application System (UMAS), a lightweight avionics system for installation in small UAV's.
