CACI Awarded Intelligence and Information Warfare Contract by U.S Army Communications-Electronics Command

$500 Million Program for Technical, Engineering, Fabrications and Operations Support (TEFOS) Provides Scientific and Engineering Support for Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate

Arlington, Va., December 4, 2000 -- CACI International Inc (NASDAQ:CACI) announced today that it has been awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide Technical, Engineering, Fabrication, and Operations Support (TEFOS) to the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD). Dual contracts were awarded for one base year and four option years, and are estimated to be worth a total of $100 million per year with a cumulative total of $500 million if all options are exercised. Under the contract terms, CACI's TEFOS team will deliver scientific and engineering support to meet I2WD objectives of modernizing Army intelligence and information systems and capabilities. This contract vehicle is a follow-on to the Technical, Engineering, and Fabrication contract CACI has held since 1995, and continues CACI's expansion into the intelligence systems market, a targeted strategic growth area for the company.

A key aspect of CACI's support will be developing prototypes of systems and solutions critical to the Army's continued evolution toward more agile, versatile, and rapidly deployable forces — part of the "Army Transformation" initiative. This includes researching, prototyping, and developing systems for improved intelligence collection through networked arrays of sensors, electronic combat capabilities to counter both conventional and new "cyber" weapons, and information warfare systems capable of mounting offensive operations as well as protecting defense and national systems. CACI's I2WD support will be provided through competitive task order awards across all I2WD divisions — Operations, Battlefield Awareness and Target, Information Operations Support, Electronic Combat, and Signals Intelligence and Payload Integration. In support of this wide array of requirements, CACI has fielded a highly qualified team of subcontractors for rapid response to Army needs.

According to CACI, Inc. President Ken Johnson, "This award with the Army's Communications-Electronics Command Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate reflects our deep functional expertise in intelligence and information warfare, coupled with our strong legacy of CECOM support. CACI's goal is to provide the critical link between operational objectives and scientific and engineering talent to generate intelligence solutions that will advance Army Transformation goals."

CACI Chairman and CEO Dr. J.P. (Jack) London stated, "CACI's award of the Technical, Engineering, Fabrication, and Operations Support contract continues our partnership with the Army Communications-Electronics Command. We are committed to helping CECOM complete its mission for the U.S. Army and support the Army's vision for a 21st century fighting force. This also is a key contract win for CACI that strengthens our presence in the intelligence community, which is a primary strategic area of growth for our company as we seek to fulfill our own 21st century growth goals."
