Taichung Air Base
Taichung Air Base has not been actively used by the Republic of China Air Force since the 1960s when units located there were moved to Ching Chuan Kang AB.
The facility has since been used for civilian purposes and also by AIDC production plants located there.
As of the late 1990s, the longest runway at Taichung was reportedly 5,315 feet long.
Taichung is the major city in the central Taiwan region and is one of Taiwan's main business centers.
