In the late 1990s the Front contre l'occupation tutsie (FLOT) was active in the Bukavu region of Congo [Zaire], particularly in 1998. The group had a political wing, the Union des forces vives pour la liberation et la democratie en RDC-Zaire (UFLD), and was thought to be behind hate radio broadcasts in the Bukavu region in 1997 and 1998. This group is poorly attested, and now evidently defunct.
