Operation Southern Watch
- 12 January 1999 -- Five Iraqi jets violated the southern no-fly zone and two entered the north, bringing the total violations in both zones since Desert Fox to more than 70, Pentagon officials said.
- 5 January 1999 -- In two separate incidents, two F-15s and two F-14s fired a total of six missiles at four Iraqi MiG-25s over the southern no-fly zone. None of the missiles found its target.
