1st Battalion - 116th Infantry Regiment
The 1st Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, was one of the first National Guard units to be deployed to Bosnia in 1995.
The battalion deployed in July of 2000, to Fort Irwin, CA,, as part of an NTC rotation. While there, the unit assumed the role of the Opposing Forces (OPFOR).
