OlympicSat (THNS 1)

In July 2001 it was reported that China planned to launch two small satellites by end of the year. The first one is an engineering test satellite developed by Tsinghua University. The other is a specially designed educational satellite to be used by teenagers all over China for satellite observation and earth observation. China planned to build 300 ground stations for the student project. These two satellites were unofficially named OlympicSat (THNS 1).
