
Minister says ground paved for launching satellite to LEO

Tehran, IRNA -- Iranian Minister of ICT Issa Zare Poor referred to successful launching of Noor-2 satellite, saying grounds have been paved for launching satellite Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
In his Instagram Post, Zare Poor said the first signals from Noor-2 was received.
He noted that Noor-2 is a reconnaissance satellite which is to revolve around the earth every 90 minutes.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force launched its second military satellite "Noor-2" by Qased carrier to a distance of 500 kilometers.
According to the IRGC, 'Noor-2 Satellite', the second Iranian military satellite, was launched from Qased carrier and was placed in 500-km orbit.
Now Iran has two military satellites in orbits close to earth.
