TASS

MOSCOW, April 18. / TASS /. Russia will conduct a technical survey of the International Space Station (ISS) and decide to withdraw from the project from 2025, and will warn foreign partners about this.

As TASS was told in the office of Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov, the life of the station has long expired, its condition leaves much to be desired. "Recently, more and more information has been received about technical malfunctions. To avoid any risks in case of emergencies, it is necessary to conduct a technical inspection of the station. And based on the results, make a decision and honestly warn partners," the office said.

“And it’s fair to warn them [partners] about leaving the ISS from 2025,” Borisov was quoted as saying on the air of Pavel Zarubin’s program “ Moscow. Kremlin. Putin ” on the Russia-1 TV channel.

The expediency of continuing Russia's participation in the International Space Station project was discussed at a meeting on space with Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 12.
