Maiden flight of China's new modified launch vehicle failed due to unknown malfunction

China's launch of its modified version of Long March-7 failed on Monday, probe into the cause of such failure will be conducted.
The Monday mission was the maiden flight of the rocket, and was launched from Wenchang Space Launch Center in South China's Hainan Province.
The rocket experienced an abnormality during the flight, leading to the failure. There will be follow-up investigation into the cause of the failure.
