Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the international workshop on using space technology for improving public health, Viktor Kotelnikov added that Iran has a 3,000-year history of activities in the field of hygiene and health.

With the progress of science and technology in the fields, scientists have concluded that space technology can be used for improving human health, he said, noting that for the same reason Iran and the UN have organized the third workshop on spatial technology.

Iran is ready to cooperate with World Health Organization in the field of controlling diseases, he noted.

International Workshop ‘Using Spatial Technology for Improving Public Health’ opened on October 23 and will work until October 26.
