US Talk about "Missile Threats" Rejected

Korean Central News Agency of DPRK via Korea News Service (KNS)

Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- The United States' noisier trumpeting about the fictitious "missile threats" from the DPRK and Iran is nothing but a cynical plot to justify its frantic moves to establish a missile defence system (MD).

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary.

The U.S. seeks to collect more taxes from the people under the pretext of "defence" and zealously plug its allies into its criminal MD in a bid to impose increasing financial burdens upon them, the commentary notes, and goes on:

It is a foolish and gross miscalculation for the U.S. to justify its MD for aggression under the pretext of what it called "missile threats" and bar the DPRK from bolstering up its deterrent for self-defence.

The DPRK will increase in every way its deterrent for self-defence, a fundamental guarantee and an invincible treasured sword for protecting its sovereignty, no matter what others may say under the present situation where the enemies' moves for aggression and military blackmail persist.

The U.S. moves to establish MD go to clearly indicate who is the arch criminal escalating the arms race at present.

It is the U.S. wild ambition and action standard to upset the strategic equilibrium through the arms race and attain its hegemonic objective by maintaining an unchallenged military edge.

With no artifice can the U.S. justify its moves to establish MD under the pretext of "missile threats" from someone.

The U.S. would be well advised to drop its foolish scenario to attain its sinister purpose under the pretext of "missile threats".
