
MICHOUD ASSEMBLY FACILITY CLOSED FOR HURRICANE LILI
NEW ORLEANS, LA., October 2nd, 2002 -- The NASA Michoud Assembly Facility is closed and will be closed all day tomorrow to all but essential support personnel because of Hurricane Lili.
Employees should call in Friday morning to check work status.
Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Michoud Operations operates the Michoud Assembly Facility for NASA, and designs and assembles large aluminum and composite structures such as the Space Shuttle External Tank for aerospace and other applications.
