
Boeing Delta One Step Closer To Launching NASA's Aqua Mission
VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., Feb. 28, 2002 -- The Boeing [NYSE:BA] Delta II rocket that will launch NASA's Aqua mission to better understand the cause and effects of Earth's environmental changes, is one step closer to liftoff as technicians hoisted the rocket onto Launch Pad 2W at Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. The mission is scheduled for early May. Work will continue to install the second stage engine, the Aqua satellite, and - finally - the fairings that encase the NASA payload.
