Space Launch Complex 2 [SLC-2]
Delta Space Launch Complex (SLC-2) is used to launch the Delta vehicle is comprised of two independent launch facilities designated SLC-2E and SLC-2W. These complexes are located approximately 2000 feet apart. The complex contains storage tanks for fuel and oxidizer on opposite sides of the launch pad to provide a safe environment in the event of an accident or spill. This launch facility is located approximately 8.4 miles from the nearest Vandenberg boundary and ~ 10.4 miles from the city of Lompoc, California.
