Headquarters 14th Air Force - A-2, Intelligence
The Chief of Intelligence (A-2) ensures the availability of intelligence on enemy locations, activities and capabilities, along with adequate intelligence support to all USCINCSPACE forces.
Specific responsibilities of the A-2 include:
- Coordinate essential elements of information with A-3/5.
- Provide the intelligence staff and supporting organizations with a clear understanding of USCINCSPACE and COMSPACEAF objectives, intentions and plans.
- Prioritize intelligence requirements.
- Coordinate intelligence support from the USSPACECOM Combined Intelligence Center, HQ Air Force Space Command intelligence staff, national intelligence agencies and coalition intelligence sources;
- Ensure intelligence information and supplies are disseminated;
- Determine SPACEAF intelligence capabilities and limitations of all components and the potential effect on operations;
- Validate intelligence information requirements of subordinate units as required;
- Prescribe security and releasability requirements for sensitive information;
- Coordinate information operations requirements with the A-3;
- Ensure the currency of the SPACEAF Battle Management Schedule;
- Produce the Air Force Space Operations Plans (AFSOPs);
- Produce a daily Space Tasking Order to task assigned and attached forces and provide decentralized execution of his assigned and attached forces;
- Advise COMSPACEAF on force protection issues; and
- Conduct information operations.
