721st Civil Engineer Squadron [721st CES]

The 721st CES operates, maintains, repairs and engineers the infrastructure and real property, and ensures fire protection and disaster preparedness at Cheyenne Mountain AS.

The squadron is composed of more than 200 military, civilian, and contractor personnel, and conducts all real property functions to support the North American Aerospace Defense Command, United States Space Command, and Air Force Space Command mission centers.

The 721st CES operates, maintains, and repairs all infrastructure and utility systems valued at over $300 million and provides all utilities support to mission critical systems and facilities.

Facilities include a 10.5 megawatt prime power plant, 7.8 megawatt uninterruptible power source system, industrial and domestic water supply and distribution, full electrical distribution and transforming network, a complete ventilation and cooling system, a blast protection system, and exterior snow control and grounds maintenance.
