30th Security Forces Squadron - Fish and Wildlife Flight
The Fish and Wildlife Flight, 30th Security Forces Squadron, maintains 98,400 acres of base land that encompasses 35 miles of coastline. They patrol seven lakes, over 2000 archeological sites, and numerous endangered species.
The section maintains six horses and provides animal control throughout the installation.
Fish and Wildlife section also provides top notch perimeter sweep coverage for over 10 rocket and missile launches yearly. For off-duty enjoyment, the section maintains a 7 day-a-week check station for the numerous deer and boar hunting locations on the base.
