• Monkeypox: Commission purchases treatment courses to meet immediate needs European Commission 26 Sep 2022 -- Today, the Commission has secured over 10,000 treatment courses of tecovirimat to treat Monkeypox. This emergency procurement is funded by the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Authority (HERA) and channelled via rescEU to treat patients in Member States with immediate needs. Tecovirimat is produced by the pharmaceutical company Meridian/SIGA.

• India's Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 217.68 Cr India PIB 26 Sep 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 217.68 Cr (2,17,68,35,714) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
• COVID - 19 Vaccination Update - Day 619 India PIB 26 Sep 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 217.80 Crore (2,17,80,50,861) today. More than 11 lakh (11,36,437) Vaccine Doses have been administered till 7 pm today. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late tonight.
• Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs India PIB 26 Sep 2022 -- The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country. The nationwide COVID 19 vaccination started on 16th January 2021. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June 2021. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.

• Taiwan reports 28,785 new COVID-19 cases, 56 deaths CNA 26 Sep 2022 -- Taiwan reported 28,785 new COVID-19 infections and 56 deaths from the disease Monday, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
• Taiwan's weekly COVID-19 infections down 3%, mostly BA.5 CNA 26 Sep 2022 -- The number of COVID-19 infections in Taiwan dropped last week for the first time in over a month, falling by 3 percent from a week earlier, with cases caused by the BA.5 subvariant making up 80 percent of the total, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
