• Drug Detection: ONR SCOUT Tests Tech for Monitoring Illicit Maritime Cargo US Navy 20 Sep 2022 -- To improve capabilities for monitoring aircraft and vessels carrying illicit maritime cargo such as drugs — for longer periods of time and over greater distances — the Office of Naval Research (ONR)-sponsored SCOUT initiative recently conducted a dynamic experimentation event at Joint Expeditionary Base (JEB) Little Creek-Fort Story, Virginia, at the entrance of the Chesapeake Bay.
• Rare Ebola outbreak declared in Uganda UN News 20 Sep 2022 -- An outbreak of Ebola virus has been declared in Uganda after a case was confirmed in Mubende district, in the centre of the country.
• Uganda Confirms Ebola Outbreak After Man Dies From Virus VOA 20 Sep 2022 -- Officials in Uganda have confirmed an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus. The country's Ministry of Health says a young man died of the virus in central Uganda Monday, and several of his relatives who died earlier this month are also suspected to have had Ebola. The government has sent a rapid response team to the area to investigate.

• COVID - 19 Vaccination Update - Day 613 India PIB 20 Sep 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 216.93 Crore (2,16,93,78,029) today. More than 9 lakh (9,62,292) Vaccine Doses have been administered till 7 pm today. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late tonight.
• Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs India PIB 20 Sep 2022 -- The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country. The nationwide COVID 19 vaccination started on 16th January 2021. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June 2021. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.

• COVID-19 kills 25 more Iranians over past 24 hours IRNA 20 Sep 2022 -- The number of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran increased to 144,344 with 25 more Iranians killed by the deadly disease over the past 24 hours, Iran's Health Ministry announced on Tuesday.

• Total number of COVID-19 cases in Taiwan exceeds 6 million CNA 20 Sep 2022 -- Taiwan reported 33 deaths from COVID-19 and 44,747 new infections on Tuesday, which pushed the total number of cases in the country since the start of the pandemic past 6 million, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
