Correctness and Scientific Accuracy of Nationwide Intensive Medical Checkups Ensured in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Intensive medical check-ups of all residents is underway in the DPRK to finally defuse the epidemic-brought crisis across the country and completely restore the anti-epidemic stability.
The state emergency anti-epidemic headquarters takes detailed practical measures to correctly probe into the cause of fever among new fever cases in some areas.
Research teams were formed with bio-engineering and virology experts to conduct nucleic acid tests and genetic base sequence analysis by separating the viruses causing respiratory diseases and fever.
Relevant experts conducted the general analysis of blood antibody tests of over 20 000 people selected in Pyongyang and all provinces, who had recovered from the malignant pandemic disease. The results confirmed that the antibody positive rate is around 93%, with the rate being at around 95% among the cases who had recovered in the period between late April to May 10, in particular, and that the anti-body titer is being maintained at a fixed level.
The work for enhancing the operational rate of nucleic acid test equipment additionally set up in cities and counties and the accuracy of test is underway.
