Scientific Accuracy of Nationwide Intensive Treatment Ensured in DPRK

Pyongyang, August 7 (KCNA) -- Intensive medical check-ups of all residents is underway in the DPRK to completely defuse the epidemic-brought crisis across the country and restore the anti-epidemic stability.
The state emergency anti-epidemic headquarters take detailed practical measures to probe into the cause of fever among new fever cases in some areas.
Research teams were formed with bio-engineering and virology experts to conduct nucleic acid tests and genetic base sequence analysis by separating the viruses causing respiratory diseases and fever.
Relevant experts conducted the general analysis of blood antibody tests of over 20 000 people selected in Pyongyang and other provinces, who had recovered from the malignant pandemic disease. Their results confirmed that the antibody positive rate is around 93%, with the rate being at around 95% among the cases who had recovered in the period between late April to May 10, in particular, and that the rate is being maintained at a fixed level.
The work for enhancing the operational rate and accuracy of nucleic acid equipment additionally set up in cities and counties is underway.
