Anti-epidemic Successes and Experience Shared and Stable Phase Maintained in DPRK
Korean Central News Agency of DPRK
Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- While sharing good successes and experience gained in the course of eliminating the malignant virus which made inroads into the country, the work for firmly maintaining the continued stability of the anti-epidemic environment is carried out more actively in the DPRK.
To cope with the situation of the world public health crisis where the infection rate of the Omicron sub-variants ever-increases, the emergency anti-epidemic sector focuses its primary efforts on introducing and popularizing various test methods guaranteeing scientific accuracy and efficiency in anti-epidemic practice.
In particular, by carefully carrying out tests on those who were infected with the virus between late April, when the first fever case from COVID-19 in the DPRK was reported, and early May, it proved scientifically that immunity is surely maintained.
While completely ensuring the anti-epidemic safety of the currently applied disinfection methods, officials and experts in the relevant sectors, including the fundamental science and hygiene and anti-epidemic sectors, inform each other of recent data on new pathogens rapidly spreading in neighboring countries and regions, and carry out intensive research and consultations to thoroughly prevent their inroads into the country. -0-
