
10 Iranians die to COVID-19 in past 24 hours

Tehran, IRNA -- New daily COVID-19 deaths in Iran stood at 10 on Sunday and became two-digit after several weeks.
According to figures announced by the Health Ministry, the country's total fatalities are now 141,439 since the pandemic began.
The ministry registered 2,375 new infections over the past 24 hours, which take Iran's total case tally to 7,249,976.
So far, 7,673,000 patients have recovered or discharged from hospitals.
Currently, 356 people are hospitalized in ICU units.
So far, 64,676,291 people have received a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. 58,033,127 have received their second jab and 27,889,899 have got a third shot.
New daily infections have been increasing over the past two weeks after they witnessed a declining trend.
Health officials are calling on people to wear a mask indoors and outdoors in areas having red and orange codes which mark high levels of infections.
Currently, four towns are labelled as red, and four others are coded as orange.
