Anti-epidemic Measures Intensified in DPRK

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Emergency anti-epidemic work is directed to thoroughly checking the inroad and spread of new epidemics which strike the world recently.

While closely observing the outbreak and spread of the malignant virus in the surrounding countries and regions, the central emergency anti-epidemic sector learned about the multiple blockade of the ground, sea and territorial air and take measures to block the slight vacuum of the inroad of a new variant.

It has commanded to establish the system of immediately informing and taking measures over the abnormal phenomena while further intensifying blockade duty and anti-epidemic observation and approaching the outbreak of fevered persons with vigilance.

It is taking measures for rationally setting up and adjusting anti-epidemic degrees of regions and reconfirming the quarantine and lockdown standard of the anti-epidemically dangerous objects.

It urges all the fields and units to make officials, employees and residents intensify the disinfection and abide by the anti-epidemic rules and order.

The research for thoroughly checking the outbreak of a new epidemic is being activated.

The Biomedicine Institute under the Academy of Medical Science and other research groups carry out the test of the specimen from fevered persons. After finishing examination of antibody test method and test for clinical introduction, they have made a comprehensive analysis of the test result.

A new technique for producing antiseptic solution has been developed and introduced in anti-epidemic units and curative and preventive units.

Relevant research organs observe the outbreak and spread of the enteric epidemic in relation with the COVID-19 variants and take detailed measures to study the clinical character and course of the disease and build up database while strengthening the observation of a new variant. -0-
