• Chinese vice premier urges stringent steps to curb COVID-19 spread in Jilin People's Daily 26 Mar 2022 -- Chinese Vice Premier Sun Chunlan on Friday demanded stringent measures, including mass nucleic acid testing and thorough contact tracing, to contain the spread of COVID-19 in northeast China's Jilin Province.
• Over 212 million people above 60 fully vaccinated in China People's Daily 26 Mar 2022 -- More than 212 million people above 60 years of age have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on the Chinese mainland, which means two jabs at present, a health expert said Friday.
• Chinese mainland reports 1,280 new local COVID-19 cases People's Daily 26 Mar 2022 -- The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 1,280 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, down from 1,301 on Thursday, according to the National Health Commission.

India

• India's Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 182.87 Cr India PIB 26 Mar 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 182.87 Cr (1,82,87,68,476) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 2,16,75,657 sessions.
• COVID - 19 Vaccination Update - Day 435 India PIB 26 Mar 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage hascrossed 183.16 Crore (1,83,16,09,155) today. More than 26 lakh (26,65,241) Vaccine Doseshave been administered till 7 pm today. More than1.20 Crore (1,20,27,260) vaccine doses have been administered to 12-14 years age group so far. More than2.25 Crore(2,25,46,500) Precaution Doses for the identified categories of beneficiaries (HCWs, FLWs and Over 60 years) for COVID vaccination have been administered so far. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late tonight.
• Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs India PIB 26 Mar 2022 -- The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country. The nationwide COVID 19 vaccination started on 16th January 2021. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June 2021. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.

• Taiwan reports 103 new COVID-19 cases, including 21 domestic CNA 26 Mar 2022 -- Taiwan reported 103 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday -- 21 domestically transmitted and 82 that originated abroad -- and no new deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
