• Four Russian Government Employees Charged in Two Historical Hacking Campaigns Targeting Critical Infrastructure Worldwide US Dept. of Justice 24 Mar 2022 -- The Department of Justice unsealed two indictments today charging four defendants, all Russian nationals who worked for the Russian government, with attempting, supporting and conducting computer intrusions that together, in two separate conspiracies, targeted the global energy sector between 2012 and 2018. In total, these hacking campaigns targeted thousands of computers, at hundreds of companies and organizations, in approximately 135 countries.
• CISA, FBI and DOE Publish Advisory With Historical Cyber Activity Used by Indicted Russian State-Sponsored Actors CISA 24 Mar 2022 -- The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Department of Energy (DOE) published a joint Cybersecurity Advisory today with information on multiple intrusion campaigns targeting U.S. and international energy sector organizations conducted by indicted Russian state-sponsored cyber actors from 2011 to 2018.
• Rewards for Justice - Reward Offer for Information on Russian FSB Officers Conducting Malicious Activity Against U.S. Critical Infrastructure Between 2012-2017 US Dept. of State 24 Mar 2022 -- The U.S. Department of State's Rewards for Justice (RFJ) program is now offering a reward for information on Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) officers Pavel Aleksandrovich Akulov, Mikhail Mikhailovich Gavrilov, and Marat Valeryevich Tyukov for their alleged involvement in computer intrusions, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft, and damage to the property of an energy facility offenses.

• US Census Study Reveals COVID-19 Pandemic Impact VOA 24 Mar 2022 -- A study released Thursday by the U.S. Census Bureau suggests COVID-19 played a role in lowering the population in more than 73% of U.S. counties last year.

• Shanghai registers highest daily tally of asymptomatic cases in Chinese mainland Global Times 24 Mar 2022 -- Shanghai reported 979 asymptomatic COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, the highest daily number in the Chinese mainland. • India's Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 182.23 Cr India PIB 24 Mar 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 182.23 Cr (1,82,23,30,356) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 2,15,72,370 sessions.
• COVID - 19 Vaccination Update - Day 433 India PIB 24 Mar 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 182.51 Crore (1,82,51,99,641) today. More than 26 lakh (26,50,337) Vaccine Doses have been administered till 7 pm today. More than 88 lakh (88,13,578) vaccine doses have been administered to 12-14 years age group so far. More than 2.22 Crore (2,22,56,496) Precaution Doses for the identified categories of beneficiaries (HCWs, FLWs and Over 60 years) for COVID vaccination have been administered so far. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late tonight.
• Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs India PIB 24 Mar 2022 -- The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country. The nationwide COVID 19 vaccination started on 16th January 2021. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June 2021. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.

• COVID-19 kills 63 more Iranians over past 24 hours IRNA 24 Mar 2022 -- The number of deaths from the coronavirus pandemic in Iran increased to 139,865 with 63 more Iranians killed by the deadly disease over the past 24 hours, Iran's Health Ministry announced on Thursday.

Taiwan

• Taiwan reports record 124 imported COVID-19 cases in one day CNA 24 Mar 2022 -- Taiwan on Thursday reported 124 new COVID-19 infections that originated overseas -- its highest number of imported cases ever in a single day -- and 15 domestic cases, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
• CECC looking into new COVID-19 cluster at Kaohsiung plant CNA 24 Mar 2022 -- Taiwan reported 15 domestic COVID-19 cases on Thursday, 13 of which were from a new cluster at a chemical plant in Kaohsiung, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said.
• Taiwan to receive 2 million Novavax vaccine doses from COVAX CNA 24 Mar 2022 -- Taiwan's Minister of Health and Welfare Chen Shih-chung (陳時中) said Thursday that Taiwan has ordered around 2 million doses of the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine through the global vaccine sharing initiative COVAX.
