
Taiwan reports 56 new COVID-19 cases, including 22 domestic

Taipei, Feb. 3 (CNA) Taiwan reported 56 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, consisting of 22 domestically transmitted cases and 34 imported, with no new deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
To date, Taiwan has confirmed 18,958 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began in early 2020, including 15,118 domestically transmitted infections.
With no deaths reported on Thursday, the number of confirmed COVID-19 deaths in the country remains at 851.
