Local governments detail footprints of COVID-19 cases

Taipei, Jan. 27 (CNA) Local governments in Taiwan on Thursday listed the locations visited by several individuals confirmed to have COVID-19, and the authorities urged people who may have been in those same areas to get tested if they develop symptoms of the disease.

In Taipei, one infected person rode the MRT from Banqiao to the bustling Ximen area, where they visited the "Last Order" restobar and "Tien Tien Li Mei" eatery on Jan. 22, the city's Department of Health said.

Later in the day, that individual took the MRT to Taipei Main Station, the city's main transportation hub, to catch a Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) train to Banqiao Station, the health department said.

Another COVID-19 patient in Taipei visited a vegetable stand on Linyi Street and the Tung Men Yu Yuan Fang dumpling shop on Jinshan South Road, Section 1, on Wednesday, according to the department.

Meanwhile, in Taoyuan City, some infected people visited a 7-Eleven convenience store at No. 113 Yongfu West Street in Taoyuan District and a PX Mart supermarket at No. 79 Fukuo North Street in Bade District on Jan. 15, the city government said.

They also went to a FamilyMart convenience store at No. 71 Talin Road in Taoyuan District, and another one in that same chain at No. 86 Gongyuan Road in Bade District, as well as a 7-Eleven at No. 121 Guoji 1st Road in Taoyuan District, on Jan. 17, according to the city government.

It also listed a 7-Eleven at No. 121 Guoji 1st Road in Taoyuan District that some infected persons visited on Jan. 18, Jan. 21, and Jan. 24.

On Jan. 18, 19 and 24, infected individuals went to Carrefour's Bade store, a McDonald's restaurant at No. 301/303 Huanzhong East Road, and Test Rite Retail hardware at No. 479 Jieshou Road, all in Bade District, according to the Taoyuan City government.

Other places visited by COVID-19 patients included a public market on Zhongzheng Road in Longtan District on Jan. 20 and Jan. 23, Taipei Fubon Bank's Danan branch on Jan. 20 and Jan. 22, Chunghwa Post's Danan branch on Jan. 20, a FamilyMart at No. 643 Jieshou Road in Bade District on Jan. 20, and an eatery at No. 1092 Wenhua Road in Longtan District Jan. 20-21, the city government said.

It said that on Jan. 22, some infected people went to Zhuwei Fishing Harbor and several places in the city's Bade District, including a Hi-Life convenience store at No. 670 Daxing Rd; Daisy Café at No. 37 Zhongyong 1st Street; the Taoyuan Public Library; a pharmacy on the second floor of No. 898-1 on Jieshou Road, Section 1; a bookstore at No. 297 Xingfeng Road; a McDonald's at No. 332 Jieshou Road; and a 7-Eleven at No. 165 on Jianguo Road.

The list of places visited by infected COVID-19 patients on Jan. 23 included a public market at No. 45 Jianguo Road in Bade District; a PX Mart at No. 396 Xingfeng Road in Bade District; the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan Bade Church; a PX Mart at No. 326 Nanshi Section 2, Zhongfeng Road; in Pingzhen District; a stationery and toy shop at No. 291 Xingfeng Road in Bade District; a pharmacy at No. 433 Xingfeng Road in Bade District; and a hair salon at No. 214 Nanshi, Section 2, Zhongfeng Road in Pingzhen District, according to the city government.

The next day, on Jan. 25, some of the infected persons went to a bakery at No. 31 Nankan Road in Luzhu District and a 7-Eleven at No. 516 Minshen North Road in Guishan District, it said.

The city government listed a Hi-Life at No. 108 Minshen Road in Longtan District and several places in Bade District, namely an eatery at No. 158 Jianguo Road, a pharmacy at No. 782 Jieshou Road, a FamilyMart at No. 59 Jianguo Road, and a 7-Eleven at No. 365 Zhongzheng Street, where COVID-19 positive people went on Jan. 25.

In the period Jan. 15-24, infected people went to Costco's Nankan store; World Gym's Nankan branch; a PX Mart at No. 126 Fuzhou 1st Street in Zhongli District; Nankan traditional vegetable market; a 7-Eleven at No. 5-7 Hangxiang Road in Dayuan District; a PX Mart at No. 222 Datong Road in Guishan District; a Hi-Life at No. 225, Sec. 1, Nankan Road in Luzhu District; and a FamilyMart at No. 322, Section 1, Nankan Road, in Luzhu District, the city government said.

In Yilan County in eastern Taiwan, some infected persons visited Louisa Coffee on Jiaoxi Road Section 5 in Jiaoxi Township on Jan. 13, Luna Plaza shopping center on Jan. 14, Su'ao Port on Jan. 17, Tang-wei-gou Park on Jan. 19, and McDonald's Jiaoxi restaurant on Jan. 21, according to the county's Public Health Bureau.

Anyone who may have been at the above locations on the dates listed should get tested for COVID-19, if they develop symptoms of the disease, local authorities said.
