UAE Announces 3,067 New COVID-19 Cases, 3 deaths in Last 24 Hours

Abu Dhabi, January 16, 2022, SPA -- The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that it conducted 385,950 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, according to WAM News Agency.

In a statement, the ministry announced 3,067 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases to 805,248.

The ministry also announced three deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,191.

MoHAP noted that an additional 1,055 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 760,268.
