
UAE Announces 2,759 New COVID-19 Cases, One Death in Last 24 Hours

Abu Dhabi, January 9, 2022, SPA --The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that it conducted 469,401 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, according to WAM news agency.
In a statement Sunday, the ministry announced 2,759 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases to 785,625.
MoHAP also announced one death due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,174.
MoHAP noted that an additional 913 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 753,033.
