Kerman, IRNA -- Minister of Health, Remedy and Medical Treatment Bahram Einollahi referring to the acceleration of the vaccination against coronavirus in Iran said that while in July five million doses of vaccines were injected now the statistics show that 53 million Iranians have been vaccinated.
Enollahi who was speaking on Wednesday night for the presiding board of the Kerman Medical University added that 48 million vaccines were injected in the course of the past two months.
"The acceleration of injecting vaccines in the country is due to the people's contributions and God's grace, and therefore, during the course of a single week vaccine injections in Iran equaled the injections in all neighboring countries," he reiterated.
The health minister said that Kerman is the vastest Iranian province with a combination of rich and poor people.
Einollahi stressed that uprooting poverty is a top priority of the government, and "a duty for us", taking advantage of the province's own population for sustainable development projects.
He apologized the Kerman health personnel for not having enough financial resources to appreciate them economically, ensuring them that although they have worked for the patients for God's sake, the Health Ministry, too, will try to remunerate financially, as well.
