Iran's daily COVID-19 deaths decrease to 163

Tehran, May 26, IRNA -- The number of deaths from the coronavirus in Iran increased to 79,219 while the nation experienced a significant decrease in deaths from 251 and 208 in the past two days to 163 death in the past 24 hours, Iran's Health Ministry announced on Wednesday.
Some 163 more Iranians have died from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 79,219, Iran's Health Ministry said on Wednesday.
10,468 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, 1,154 of whom were hospitalized, it said.
The Iranian Health Ministry noted that 2,362,428 patients out of a total of 2,865,864 infected people have recovered or been discharged from hospitals.
Some 4,695 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition in intensive care units, it added.
The Iranian Health Ministry went on to say that 19,185,933 coronavirus diagnosis tests have so far been carried out across the country.
Health Ministry also announced that 2,844,639 people have so far received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 485,670 people have also received the second dose.
