Emergency Anti-epidemic Work Intensified in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 16 (KCNA) -- All fields and units are further intensifying emergency anti-epidemic work in the DPRK.

Effective information service is conducted to raise awareness about pandemic and to remove indolence, slackness and carelessness among people, especially at loud-speaker posts set up across the country.

Officials and workers in inspection and quarantine field have made it a habitual practice to disinfect and handle materials as required by anti-epidemic regulations.

Medical treatment and preventive institutions and hygienic and anti-epidemic organs bring their employees and residents to the anti-epidemic and hygienic knowledge, and make sure thorough-going work system and order are in place to deal with problems in time.

Anti-epidemic work has also been tightened in the large construction sites, where higher demands are raised to make it part of life to thoroughly disinfect living areas, worksites and utensils and tools.

With the advent of the period of supporting the rural communities, such anti-epidemic measures are afoot by institutions, enterprises and farms as deployment of people and establishment of strict reporting system. -0-
