Washington, April 26, 2021, SPA -- National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan expressed the United States' sympathy for the people of India following the recent spike in the COVID-19 cases.

During a telephone call with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval, Sullivan affirmed that his country is working around the clock to deploy available resources and supplies to India.

He added that the United States is deploying an expert team of public health advisors from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support and fast-track the mobilization of emergency resources available to India through the Global Fund.
