As is required for all international students, the woman was tested for COVID-19 at the end of her quarantine, and the result came back positive on Monday, the CECC said.

The woman told health authorities after testing positive that she had contact with a COVID-19 patient when she was in Indonesia, according to the CECC.

Globally, COVID-19 has infected over 131 million people in 193 countries and regions, with more than 2.8 million fatalities, CECC data shows.
