China Approves Public Use of Sinopharm Vaccine Against COVID-19 – Reports

BEIJING (Sputnik) – China's National Medical Products Administration authorized on Thursday the public use of the Sinopharm vaccine against the coronavirus, the China Central Television reported.
On Wednesday, Sinopharm's subsidiary Beijing Institute of Biological Products said that the efficiency of its vaccine had exceeded 79 percent. The vaccine has already been approved by Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
The scientists will reportedly continue to study the efficiency of the vaccine.
According to earlier statements of Sinopharm, about 1 million people have already been vaccinated with its drug, including 60,000 people outside China.
