Iran deactivates tourist, pilgrimage e-Visa due to Covid-19

Tehran (ISNA) – The head of Passport and Visa Department of Iran's Foreign Ministry, Hassan Nourian announced that issuance of tourist and pilgrimage visa has been deactivated in the electronic visa system.

"Given the Covid-19 pandemic and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) on refraining from unnecessary travel, the options of tourist and pilgrimage visa have been deactivated in the list of Iran's electronic visa system until conditions return normal. Once conditions back to normal, these options will be reactivated," Nourian wrote on his official Twitter account.
