Thai national found to have COVID-19 after returning from Taiwan

Bangkok, July 27 (CNA) The Thai government on Monday announced four newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, including one involving a Thai migrant worker who returned on July 21 from Taiwan.

The four are all Thai nationals who returned to the country from overseas and tested positive for the novel coronavirus while in quarantine, said Taweesin Wisanuyothin, spokesman for the government's Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration.

They include one migrant worker who arrived on July 21 on a China Airlines flight from Taipei. The other three returned from the United States, the spokesman said.

As of Monday, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has reached 3,295 in Thailand, according to the administration.

Data from the World Health Organization shows that as of July 26 Thailand has reported 58 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
