Ministry of Health: Covid-19 Lab-Tests Exceed 65,000 Per Day

Riyadh, July 17, 2020, SPA -- Ministry of Health indicated that it conducted 65,549 new Coronavirus (Covid-19) laboratory tests (PCR), during the past 24 hours, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pointing out that at the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak in the Kingdom, the number of tests, per day, in various sectors were approximately (1000), and at the present time, the total number of tests reaches more than (65,000) per day.
Ministry of Health has equipped the national laboratory at the Saudi Center for Disease Prevention and Control, the reference lab for cases tests, and the Ministry has regional labs in various regions, equipped with the latest technologies, to perform these checks, in addition to labs in hospitals and specialized units that the ministry recently launched in Kingdom, and contributed to a qualitative leap, improved service by obtaining test results in record time, and also strengthened the prevention of Covid-19.
