WHO Expresses Concern over New Surge of Coronavirus Spread, in Europe

Copenhagen, June 25, 2020, SPA -- The World Health Organization (WHO) expressed here today concern over the new surge, raising the numbers of contracting the Novel Coronavirus, in Europe, and towards health systems, in case that the new spread begun following the lifting of isolation constraints, does not be put under control.
Europe has shown a surge in the cases of infection, during last week, where the daily cases rose for the first time, in months long span of time, resulting in rising of the cases in 30 countries across the continent, in 2-week and threatening to exhaust Europe's health systems capacity to limit the rapid re-surge of the pandemic, according to Dr. Hans Henri P. Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, during a video-press-conference, held here today.
