
COVID-19 Committee Holds 77th Meeting

Riyadh, May 06, 2020, SPA -- Under the chairmanship of Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, the COVID-19 Follow-up Committee held its 77th meeting today.
During the meeting, all relevant COVID-19 updates and reports were reviewed.
Following the meeting, Assistant Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdulaali, who is also Spokesperson of the Health Ministry, said in a press conference that 1687 new COVID-19 cases were detected today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He pointed out that the total COVID19-infected cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is 31938, including 24946 active cases and 137 critical cases.
He pointed out that the cases confirmed today represent 73% for non-Saudis with 1229 cases and 27% for Saudis with 458 cases.
The number of the new recoveries is 1352, bringing the total number of the recoveries to 6783, Dr. Al-Abdulaali said, adding that the number of the new deaths is 9, bringing the total death toll to 209.
He called on whoever has symptoms or would like to check-up, to use the self-assessment service in MAWID application, and inquire or consult the Health Center (937) around the clock.
