Turkey Lifts Social Security Requirements for Getting Free COVID-19 Treatment - Reports

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Turkish authorities have adopted a new regulation enabling all citizens, including those who are not registered with the social security system, to be treated for the coronavirus disease for free, the Daily Sabah newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The Daily Sabah newspaper reported that the regulation was published in Turkey's Official Gazette and has already entered into force.

The latest data on the coronavirus spread provided by the World Health Organisation says that the number of confirmed cases has nearly reached 1.8 million with more than 110,000 succumbing to the virus.

At the same time, the number of coronavirus cases in Turkey has nearly reached 57,000 with nearly 2,200 fatalities.
