
India Imposes Lockdown to Combat COVID-19

New Delhi, March 24, 2020, SPA -- India authorities imposed today a lockdown for three weeks to combat the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a televised speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the country's national lockdown will continue for the next 21 days, appealing to the country's 1.3-billion-population to remain indoors to protect themselves and their families.
