Laos Announces its First COVID-19 Case

Vientiane, March 24, 2020, SPA -- The Republic of Laos announced today its first two cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), becoming South-East Asian last country to announce having incurred the virus.

In a statement issued by the Health Ministry of Laos, the two cases are recorded for a man working at a hotel in Vientiane and another for a woman who is working as a tourist guide with foreigners.
