Malaysia confirms ninth virus death

Kuala Lumpur, March 22, 2020, SPA --Malaysia's Health Ministry said on Sunday afternoon that a ninth person has died in the country after contracting Covid-19,the respiratory condition caused by the new coronavirus that so far cost some 13,000 lives around the world, dpa reported.

The deceased was a 48-year-old doctor who had recently returned from Turkey and was diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 18, ministry director-general Noor Hisham Abdullah said. Malaysia's confirmed cases of the virus reached 1,183 on Saturday.
