Croatia Announces First COVID-19 Death

Zagreb, March 19, 2020, SPA -- The Croatian authorities announced today the first death in the country of the new Coronavirus (COVID-19).
In a press conference, the director of a hospital in the northern Croatian city of Pula said that the deceased was 70 years old, adding that they are still conducting further tests to find out whether he was suffering from previous chronic diseases or the Coronavirus was the only cause of his death.
Croatia has recorded 102 infections so far with recovery of five cases.
