Health workers are devoting themselves to the anti-epidemic work in the DPRK.

A medical official of the Sunam District Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Centre in Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province, died in the line of duty while measuring water quality and disinfecting the area in his charge. He had reportedly been suffering from a serious cerebral disease at that time.

In South Phyongan and South Hwanghae provinces, Rason City and other parts of the country, quarantine officers turned out to increase the production of antiseptic solution.

Officials at the Jagang Provincial Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Centre continued the anti-epidemic work and medical examinations even when all roads were blocked up by an avalanche.

Many provincial, city and county anti-epidemic centres raised the intensity of disinfection, quarantine and information activities, while offering convenience to persons under medical observation and demanding them to take an active part in medical examinations.
